Revamped Balcony at Lagoon Road

Working closely with Fineline Fabrications, GAP Ltd has produced a unique structural design for the new frameless glass balustrade and aluminium balcony subframe installed on the existing roof terrace at Lagoon Road, Poole. 

Since aluminium is lightweight, it was preferred and can support heavy glass panes maintaining natural sunlight throughout the building.

The existing 3-storey steel frame structure supported by piled foundations was also assessed to justify the theoretical load increase.
