BIM Manager/Senior Revit Technician

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Revit Technician to head-up our 3D modelling department at our Broadstone-based practice. This long-term role would allow the successful candidate to directly influence the way our drawing team operates, to ensure effective and efficient workflows with the engineers. In-depth knowledge of BIM protocols is not essential, but an awareness of COBie and ISO 19650 would be beneficial as this is an area we’d be looking to develop concurrently with the management of the draughting resources.

The successful candidate would be supported in achieving BIM Certification for Individuals : BRE Global ISO 19650, with a view to this leading to formal business accreditation for the firm once protocols are in place.

Graduate Civil Engineer (0-3 Years’ Experience)

We currently have openings available at our Broadstone-based practice for graduate civil engineers looking to progress their careers on a wide range of interesting and varied projects. Working under direct mentorship of our senior engineering staff, applicants would be given the support and resources required to undertake designs of civil engineering infrastructure. We would look to develop their basic engineering skillset and form a solid understanding of their future role within the industry.

The graduate job role would include an element of drawing/detailing work, with use of industry standard software including Autocad & Civils 3D and Causeway PDS & Flow. (An active interest in BIM or other 3D design techniques such as Revit would also be an advantage). Previous software experience is, however, not essential as full training and guidance would be provided throughout development and progression.

Civil Infrastructure Design Engineer (2-5 Years’ Experience)

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced infrastructure engineer within our civils department at our Broadstone office, to strengthen the existing civil engineering team working on both commercial and residential developments.

The successful candidate will have a BSc / BEng Civil Engineering qualification or similar and should be actively working towards Chartered status, as well as being self-motivated and have a proven record in the design of road and drainage infrastructure. Applicants would already have a strong understanding of infrastructure design, along with some basic experience of project management and interaction with clients/design team members. Working for GAP, they would be given significant assistance in building a solid portfolio of projects to aid chartership with ICE, with workflow and project allocation tailored to their needs.

Candidates would be expected to be capable of managing small to medium sized projects and work alongside dedicated technicians and structural engineering staff, as well and being able to manage their own time/resources relatively independently.

Applicants would already have a strong understanding of elemental design and material properties, along with some basic experience of project management and interaction with clients/design team members. Working for GAP, they would be given significant assistance in building a solid portfolio of projects to aid chartership with IStructE/ICE, with workflow and project allocation tailored to their needs.

Candidates would be expected to be capable of managing small to medium sized projects and work alongside dedicated technicians and civil engineering staff, as well and being able to manage their own time/resources relatively independently.
